Franklin Starling
Franklin Davis Starling, age 82, of Hilliard, Florida, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Green Cove Springs on February 18, 1940, to the late Fleam and Nettie (Chesser) Starling. Franklin had a strong work ethic and was employed with Adcom Wire for 46 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, was an avid bowler, and played softball. He grew up in his home church, Oak Grove Baptist Church, and was a current member of Trinity Baptist Church. Franklin loved serving the Lord and worked diligently to teach his family and friends how to live for Christ. Family was extremely important to him, and he always tried to be there for them to lend a helping hand or a helpful word of guidance. He was a father figure not only to his children, but his nieces, nephews, and children in the neighborhood. Franklin will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Franklin Scott Starling; and siblings, Thomas Starling, Lucille Cauley, James Starling, and Robert Starling. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Alice Sellers Starling; children, Christopher (Patricia) Starling, Gene (Tina) Starling, and Crystal (Alan) Hannah; grandchildren, Jammie (Stefanie) Starling, Tony (Danielle) Starling, Joshua Starling, Tiffany (James) Shrull, Sara (Greg) Kelley, Dustin (Samantha) Starling, Libby Hannah, and Remington Hannah; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Starling, Brianna Shrull, Cody Shrull, Gracelyn Starling, Abbygaile Shrull, Jackson Starling, Sutton Starling, and Jacob Starling; siblings, Martha (Calvin) Lee, Mark Starling, and Timothy (Toni) Starling; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at West Park Baptist Church, 372 Jones Road in Jacksonville with Pastor Robert Bulmer, Pastor Bill Turner, and Pastor Paul Haney officiating. Interment will follow in Sellers Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation with the family was held 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the church.

William R. “Randy” Coon
William Randall “Randy” Coon, 45, of Green Cove Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. He was born in Orange Park, FL and had been a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs. Randy was a 1996 graduate of Clay County High School and worked as a master diesel mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Zach and Alena (Spears) Coon and Franklin D. “Don” and Ruth A. (Brown) Herbert.
He is survived by his daughter, Brienna Paige Coon (Marcus), twin son, Kier Constantino and Antonio “Toni” Constantino, parents, Jack and Brenda R. (Herbert) Coon, brother, Thomas Andrew Coon (Mimsi), grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Latham and Weston Constantino, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from North Florida and Alabama.
Memorial services were held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.

Peter MacLeod
Dr. Peter Jule MacLeod, D.D.S., P.A., passed away on July 31, 2022. He was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota on November 15, 1945, to Everett Riddock and Pearl Madelyn Gulbransen MacLeod.
He is survived by his younger sister, Toni Ann Lindquist (Wilfred), and brother Kent (Cindy). Niece and nephews are Christopher Lindquist, Travis Lee MacLeod (Jessica), and Jamie MacLeod.
He is also survived by his children Christine Tara MacLeod McMillan (Michael) and Craig Shannon MacLeod. Grandchildren are James Michael McMillan (Olivia Kingsland), Meredith Rose McMillan, Shannon “Brice” MacLeod and Peter Everett MacLeod. 
 He attended Moorhead State for his undergrad. He then went to the University of Minnesota Dental School.  While there he married Mardelle Henderson in 1967 and they had two children, Christine and Craig. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1962 and was transferred to N.A.S. Jacksonville in 1970.  Pete opened his own dental practice after leaving active duty at the rank of Lieutenant. The practice opened on October 1, 1973, on Kingsley Avenue in Orange Park. He later built an office complex at the entrance of Montclair 1406 Kingsley Ave., called the Cedarwood Professional Building with partners, Dr. John Peden, and Dr. Larry Smith where each of them had a practice.  
Pete married Deborah Edwards MacLeod (Berdy) on October 27, 1979.  They were married for 21 years and made a life in Orange Park and Gainesville with her daughter Sonia Jo Stewart Fox (Dave).  
Pete retired from Dentistry in 2006 and moved to Live Oak, FL to raise cattle and horses. He was a long-time hunter, pilot, scuba diver, and sailor. He was extremely talented in many things like playing the 12-string guitar, and woodworking, which means he could build or make anything. He was never afraid of working hard and playing even harder. Whether teaching flying lessons on Saturday morning or working on the farm building fences and inoculating the cattle, he never stopped. Pete was a fierce friend and would do anything for them. He will be missed by family and friends.  

Ann LaRue Sigmon Page
Ann LaRue Sigmon Page, 81, formerly of Hickory, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her residence in Middleburg, FL.
Born July 21, 1941 in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hubert R. Sigmon and Ann McDonald Sigmon.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her son, William Russell Page, Sr.
Ann was a graduate of Hickory High School. After her marriage to Bill, she was a military wife for 22 years and lived in 14 states and the Republic of West Germany. After moving back to Hickory, they were members of Sandy Ridge Baptist Church.
Ann was an avid reader and had an extensive collection of Stephen King books. She loved to color, crochet, play video games, and watch movies and tv shows. She delighted in raising her son and grandchildren.
Ann experienced 17 years of poor health which she handled amazingly well with no complaints. Her strong faith, her gift of inner peace, and her strong will and determination served her well through unbelievable hardships. She served as an example to all who knew her on how to live life with all its challenges.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, William “Bill” Page Jr; four grandchildren, Derek Page, Jessica Surratt, Billy Page, and Tony Page; and a number of deeply devoted in-laws and cousins.
A Memorial Service remembering Ann will be held at Crosspointe Church on C.R. 220, Fleming Island, August 17, at 6:30 P.M.
