Ann Fair Martin
Mrs. Ann Fair Martin passed away on June 9, 2022. Born December 25, 1932 in Georgia to parents, Seab James and Lillie Fair. She was predeceased by her husband, John H. Martin and youngest sister, Carolyn Fair Newkirk.
She grew up on Jacksonville Florida’s Eastside and attended Matthew W. Gilbert. She leaves her only child, daughter, Eleanor Joyce Crompton; grandson, Sheldon L. (Linda) Christopher; sisters, Lillie F. Mosley and Cora F. Brown and nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of The Greater St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church until she was no longer able to attend but she never forgot the members, especially, Pastor and faithful cousin, Hugh Crumbley and his wife. She loved entertaining and was always helping others. Throughout her illness, she remained her sweet, loving self.
Thank you to the nurses and care team at HCA OPMC. I’ll Cherish the love, time and joy we shared. Travel well, my mother and friend. Know that we think of and miss you and wish you the most exciting journey. Goodbye, my sweet mother. I’ll see you again one day.
