Rosemary Hager
Rosemary Hager of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023.
She was born August 18, 1949 in Montgomery, Alabama to Norbert and Mary Louise Vonderhaar.
She was one of six children. Rosemary was raised in a military family with her father being an Air Force career veteran. She grew up in a variety of places including Alabama, Guam, Texas and Alaska.
Rosemary married Gus Hager on December 31, 1968. They celebrated 52 years together.
Rosemary worked a variety of administrative office jobs before becoming a secretary for a local law firm after moving to the Orange Park area. She was the proud mother to numerous dachshund “fur babies” over the years. Rosemary was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic of Orange Park where she served on the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Prayer Group as well as volunteering at the church gift shop and church events. Rosemary was an active member of “TOPS” (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) where she also held several leadership positions. She enjoyed attending numerous TOPS conventions. Rosemary and Gus also were members of the Corvette and motorcycle riding clubs. Rosemary liked traveling, cruise ship excursions, reading suspense novels, yard work and walking. While Gus was stationed in Spain, she acquired a collection of Llardros ceramic figurines. Rosemary especially enjoyed Dunkin Donuts coffee and sandwiches from “The Sheik”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus; and her parents.
She is survived by her brother, John Vonderhaar (Sharon); sister, Catharine Noble (Bruce); sister, Rita Ohara; sister, Carla Harris; brother, Thomas Vonderhaar (Anne); and 11 nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11:30 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.

Pearl Burnsed McCullough
ORANGE PARK - Pearl Burnsed McCullough, 101, passed away June 3, 2023. She was born October 12, 1921 in Bryan County, GA to Elmer and Pearl Burnsed. A Jackson High School graduate, Pearl lived most of her life in Duval and Clay counties. She was a member of the Orange Park Methodist Church.
Pearl’s beloved husband, Eston Mc-Cullough, preceded her in death(1984). Among Pearl’s passions were making wonderful home cooked meals, painting, sewing, and gardening. Her pound cake recipe will live on for generations. Pearl had 2 brothers, Leo and George Burnsed, both deceased; and, 2 surviving sisters, Ann Ball and Marie Leverett( James). Her 2 children are John McCullough( Judy ) and Janet Grim (John). Grannie Pearl also has 4 grandchildren: DJ(Beth), Aaron(Angie), Alice, and Adam(Christina). She was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren.
Pearl McCullough touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with from friends, family, and especially, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was a pillar and matriarch for her family over 100 years, leading by example and undying love!

Brenda Lee Everhart
Brenda Lee Everhart, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on June 3, 2023. She was born on September 24, 1940 in Grundy, VA to the late Berlie Brown and Irene (Cole) Taylor. Brenda was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family and baking. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford Everhart and her grandson, Gary Everhart.
Brenda is survived by her daughters, Teresa Medina and Donna Fish; brothers, Roger, Bob, Pete, Leonard and Larry Taylor; sisters, Patricia Royal, Charlese Bryce, Debra Thomas and Betty Hurley; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel and funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Burial will take place at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, OH at a later date.

Michele Janet Schoonmaker
Michele Janet Schoonmaker of Fleming Island, Florida passed away on June 9, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
Michele was a native of Amsterdam, N.Y., where she graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1966, and later studied at Delhi University in New York. 
During her career she worked as an Administrative Assistant at the State Bank of Albany and then became a Real Estate Agent for several years. She retired in 2002.
Michele was an active member of the local YMCA where she especially liked the water aerobics and other group exercise classes. She spent many hours over many years playing Mah Jongg with friends. Her small Faith sharing groups and Bible Study classes at Sacred Heart Church were so valued by her.
Michele was very active in the Sacred Heart Parish. She taught Religious Education classes and Vacation Bible Study in the summer. She was a member of the Parish Council, was Eucharistic Minister, and also brought communion to the home bound. She worked at the soup kitchen sponsored by the Parish, and often prepared soup for Friday night meals during Lent.
Michele is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years David, son Greg Schoonmaker of Omaha, Ne., daughter Gwynn Schoonmaker Ison and her husband Arlie of Edgewater, Md., granddaughters Olivia and Audrey of Edgewater, her loving sister Gerrie DeNovio of Amsterdam, N.Y., and several other extended family members.    
A funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Fleming Island at 11 AM on Thursday, June 15. 
A reception will follow.
