Robyn Leilani Shuey
Robyn Leilani Shuey, age 57, passed away on April 6, 2023, in St. Augustine, FL. Robyn was born on November 24, 1965, in Richmond, Va to parents Nelson and Amy (Sanderlin) Rosser. She graduated from Henrico High School with the class of 1984. Soon after graduating, Robyn met the love of her life, Tony Shuey, who then joined the US Navy.
They married on January 31, 1986 at Whidbey Island Navy Base. For the next 24 years, Robyn took on the role of serving our country as a Navy wife. Robyn and Tony went on many adventures together, but their favorite was giving life to their two sons, Dustin and Brady. They lived in Washington State, California, and Virginia before settling down in Clay County, Florida.
Robyn worked as a teacher’s aide/secretary in the Clay Co School System for 18 years, mostly at Coppergate Elementary where she made lifetime friends and impacted the lives of many children.
Robyn decorated this world in animal print, gold, and glitter. She was a creative soul, who touched the lives of anyone she encountered. She presented with sass, loyalty, and humor that supported her free spirit personality. She loved music, fashion, decorating, and the beach, but most all she cherished the time she was able to spend with her sons. Robyn spent her life supporting their passion for baseball, surfing, skateboarding, and yearly family vacations to Outer Banks, North Carolina.
Robyn was preceded in death by her son, Dustin “Eric” Shuey, father Nelson Rosser, and dog, Molly.
Robyn is survived by her husband of 37 years, Tony Shuey of St. Augustine, her son, Brady Shuey and his fiancé Autumn Ray of Orange Park FL., her mother, Amy White of Richmond, VA, her daughter in love, Heather (Dustin) Hosmer of St. Augustine, dog Milly, and grand puppies Sammi and Ozzy.
A celebration of Robyn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2-4pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 406 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Florida 32073.
To honor Robyn, attire is: animal print, gold, glitter, beach casual, and/or Middleburg casual.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
