This week, the Super Bowl.
Non-football fans watch the Super Bowl, but not for the game. Super Bowl commercials have become an attraction of their own. Budweiser purchased time in the first game in 1967, and the company will continue its streak to 58 consecutive games this Sunday. The King of Beers will air its 144th ad when the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. Anheuser-Busch also plans to advertise Bud Light and Michelob Ultra during the big game.
And guess who’s made the most Super Bowl ad appearances besides a Clydesdale? Former racing diva Danica Patrick. She’s appeared in one ad for the Daytona 500 and 13 for her one-time sponsor, GoDaddy.
