Yes, I finally made it to Sint Maarten!

THE DUTCH SIDE – I wrote about the debacle of my vacation plans in our June 20 edition. This time, I made it. Of course, it was five weeks and a day late. Five weeks of delays were due to Mother Nature. One day was on me. I was two minutes late to check into my airline flight after standing in line for 20 minutes. So, I lost a day, but I finally got down to my favorite island and saw a friend I haven’t friend I haven’t seen in 12 years. I walked up to the pool bar and had a seat. Sweat Laura turned and saw me. She screeched, ran around the bar, and hugged me warmly. I wasn’t just on vacation; I was unplugged for the first time in years. It was only for three days, but we all needed that. I’m back home, and I’m re-charged. Let’s get back to work.
