ORANGE PARK – A woman was arrested for trafficking methamphetamine and possessing an array of other illegal drugs on May 20 after she was stopped after a quick check on a driver on Blanding Boulevard revealed the registered owner did not have a valid license.

Shannon Denise Bohannon, 49, of Jacksonville, was charged with trafficking 23.3 grams of methamphetamine and having psilocybin, tizanidine hydrochloride, baclofen and drug paraphernalia, providing a false name/ID to law enforcement and driving with a suspended license after she told the deputy her name was Brandy Lynn Mueller during the traffic stop

When the deputy checked the identification, he noticed Mueller’s file photograph didn’t match the woman driving the car. She later admitted Mueller was her sister. CCSO K-9 Koda conducted a sniff of the exterior of the car and alerted deputies of the likely presence of illegal narcotics.

A check revealed her license had been suspended 12 times since 2018. After she was handcuffed, deputies found the drugs in the backseat.

Her bond was set at $145,013.
