FALL PREVENTION PRESENTATION:  a free informative presentation to share how caregivers can reduce their loved one's risk of falling. The presentation will be Feb. 29 from 10-11 a.m. at Baptist Wellness Center at, 2310 Village Square Pkwy Suite 101, Fleming Island.

FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY AT SPRING PARK: is on March 1 from 5-9:30 p.m. at Spring Park, 106 St. Johns St. in Green Cove Springs. The event includes a variety of food trucks and live music by VOX. This is the first Food Truck Friday of the year. 

MIDDLEBURG GARDEN CLUB: will host its monthly meeting on March 1 from 9:30-11 a.m. at the Watson Realty Building, 2239 Blanding Blvd. Light refreshments, a raffle, educational demonstrations and resources, gardening tips, plant trades, sales, and civic projects will be featured. The Gate River Run: the annual 15-k road race will kick off March 2 at 8 a.m. All waves will start on Duval Street in front of the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. It is also the largest 15k race in the county.

North Florida Land Trust to Host Annual Meeting and 25th Anniversary Celebration: will be held on Sunday, March 3 at TPC Sawgrass presented by the Doolittle Family. Military Appreciation Day at the fairgrounds is happening on Saturday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Clay County Fairgrounds. This free event is open to the public, and visitors can check out some food trucks, vendors, a kids' zone, entertainment, speakers, military-based resources, and a job fair.

Orange Park Chorale to present “Walk with Me” Spring Performances: The Orange Park Chorale, a non-profit community of choral voices, invites the public to lace up its musical shoes and prepare for a melodious journey as the group presents its free spring vocal concert, “Walk With Me,” in two performances on March 16 and 17.

Blood Drive / Fish Fry: will be held March 23 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 421 S. Orange Ave., Green Cove Springs. It'll be at the VFW Post 1988. If donating blood, the dinner is free. The proceeds will go to placing flags on the graves of veterans and first responders.

Public hearing to announce the draft of the Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant will occur on March 26, 2024, at the Clay County Administration Building located at 477 Houston St., 4th Floor, Green Cove Springs. The hearing will commence at 5:00 PM or as soon after that.
