Thousands feast at Strawberry Fest

GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The combination of sunny skies and fresh-picked strawberries attracted thousands Sunday to the Clay County Fairgrounds for the annual Strawberry Fest. Children were allowed to throw axes and watch animal tricks, while parents shopped at several rows of vendors for three days. Everyone could catch a ride in a monster truck inside the Cattleman’s Arena and enjoy a wide selection of food from a row of food trucks. But the biggest attraction, of course, were bright, sweet and ripe strawberries from Plant City.
