GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Last Saturday started with thousands of residents flooding Walnut Street and Spring Park for the city’s annual Christmas on Walnut program, and they were joined by more residents later that night for the Christmas Parade along Orange Avenue. The event, which included the Parade of Trees in the park, created a huge traffic jam, but few were complaining. Organizers said there was a record turnout for the day-long event. Parade judges selected a float from Inline Lawn and Fence with its first-place award.
