GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Seamark Ranch has provided a safe home to more than 150 children in need. Their mission is to provide a traditional home environment where children can heal through individualized therapy, connect through faith, and flourish with unconditional love. Following a nationwide search, the Board is proud to announce they have selected Nathan Stanley as the new Executive Director of Seamark Ranch.
Stanley started his humanitarian career at a residential care facility for at-risk children in northern Mexico. He worked for Samaritan’s Purse, first managing the Latin American region and moving on to Ethiopia, serving as the Country Director. There, he oversaw operations serving refugees and internally displaced people suffering from the effects of war, drought, and disease. Nathan, his wife, Mary, and their four children are excited to return to Northeast Florida, where they have close extended family.
“Nathan’s qualifications truly made him stand out from the pack,” said Tim Russi, Chair of the Board of Directors. “After intense vetting, we feel very confident in his ability to continue Seamark Ranch’s progress as it enters a new chapter of growth. We trust that he will make Christ-centered decisions that put our children first. We are humbled and grateful to have him leading the Seamark family. And we’re doubly grateful to Chris Shee for stepping in as interim. Despite having an already full plate, Chris is always willing to make time for those in need.”
“I am incredibly excited about the future of Seamark Ranch,” Stanley said.
“I actually visited the Ranch before I began my mission work and have always supported its critical work. As I step into the Executive Director role, I’m looking forward to celebrating the opening of two new boys’ homes, providing more safe spaces for the most vulnerable children. God is doing great things, and I am so grateful to have been chosen to, along with our stellar staff, serve the children and families that God sends to us. I look forward to meeting those who share in this special mission of hope and love. And I can’t wait to see how bright the future will be.”
