KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – A couple from Melrose were arrested after lumber was reported missing from a construction site on Oct. 14.
Paul Michael Falana, 29, and Kacy Lee Thompson, 38, were charged with grand theft and trespassing on a construction site after Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called after building materials were taken from a site on Bitterroot Street.
CCSO identified possible suspects and found Falana and Thompson at a house on Silver Sands Circle. They found Falana and Thompson and saw lumber stacked in the homeowner’s backyard.
Deputies matched the skew numbers from the missing wood and the boards found in the house’s backyard.
Thompson’s bond was set at $17,505, while Falana’s was set at $16,505.
