CLAY COUNTY – Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 McDonald’s Golden Grants program. To apply, eligible entities can visit Golden Grants Florida through Sept. 15.
McDonald’s Owner/Operators across Florida, Southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina will be selecting deserving educators, non-profit organizations, and the like, who represent programs that fuel the imagination, education, and growth of students, as recipients of a McDonald’s Golden Grant. Entering its third year, the program has been awarded $200,000 in its first two years, and plans to award another $100,000 this year.
"The McDonald's Golden Grants program excites me each year," said David Mullins, a local McDonald's Owner/Operator. "The opportunity to support schools and educators is a privilege. The heroes of our community deserve our utmost support."
This year, 27 Golden Grants will be awarded in the following amounts based on creativity and hands-on application of projects:
• Three grants awarded in the amount of $10,000
• Seven grants awarded in the amount of $5,000
• Twelve grants awarded in the amount of $2,500
• Five grants awarded in the amount of $1,000
Qualifying activities include arts programs, education initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programs, after-school programs, community service, sports activities and technology.
Winners of the Golden Grants will be announced on Oct. 12.
