MIDDLEBURG – As part of Florida Forest Awareness Month, Jennings State Forest will host a Family Forest Awareness day on Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The park will highlight its offerings, including a new hiking trail called “The Sandridge Trail,” archery, talk with staff and volunteers and educational displays.

The park also will have information on all Jacksonville Area State Forests, literature on recreation and equipment displays of our Wildland Fire Equipment.
The event will be at the Old Jennings Recreational Area of the park at 1337 Longhorn Road.
