Faith Walk: Spring is a time for LEARNING

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.” Psalm 32:8 (Amp)

What’s incredible about God and His Word is that there is no end to the wisdom we can find. Even if you’ve read the entire Bible from cover-to-cover multiple times, you could read it again countless times and still uncover more truth. Its endless wisdom is a beautiful mystery, and we will never truly uncover its depths.

We’d be wasting a crucial opportunity if we didn’t make knowledge of God and His Word a priority in our lives. Every season is a good time to learn more about God and His goodness. Spring showers nourish the plants and trees for new growth. God's word is like that. It nourishes and facilitates new growth, new insight, and revelation.

Through God’s Word, He teaches us about Himself, us, the world He created, and our role in it. You could say His word is our manual for life. After all, God is our Creator and knows better than anyone what it takes for us to bloom into our full potential. Without our manual, we wouldn’t know what we need for our spiritual growth or which direction to take along our journey.

The scriptures contain the very wisdom of God, you can ALWAYS trust in what it has to say. Now that Spring is near, we can lean upon the springtime imagery the Bible uses when it speaks of God’s Word. Deuteronomy 32:2 says, “Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.”

When we let God’s wisdom saturate our lives, we grow just like that new grass and those tender plants. Just like grass and plants need water to grow, we need God’s love, light, and wisdom to bloom into our full potential. Just as God supplies the rain for the grass, so too does He supply us with our every need along our path of spiritual growth. Look for new areas to grow in your life this season!
