CLAY COUNTY – The County Farm Bureau announced it is accepting applications for our 2023 Scholarship Program.
Clay County Farm Bureau awards scholarships to graduating seniors and current college students whose parents, or grandparents are members of Clay County Farm Bureau. This scholarship program is very competitive and first preference will be given to applicants who will be pursuing a career in the field of agriculture.
We would also like to invite students to apply for the Katy Hendry Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship honors a beloved former agriculture teacher and FFA advisor of Clay County. This special scholarship will be awarded to deserving recipients who plan to study to become an agriculture teacher.
It is the mission of Clay County Farm Bureau to educate our community about where their food and fiber come from, and their importance to our daily lives. Food security is a top issue facing our nation, which makes promoting agriculture within our community and around the state a top priority. By offering these scholarships we are helping to create future leaders in the field of agriculture and within our community.
Applications may be obtained from your high school guidance counselor, any FFA Adviser, from the Clay County Farm Bureau Facebook page or at the bureau at 2000 Henley Road in Middleburg.
Completed applications must be received by the Clay County Farm Bureau office no later than Feb. 15. For additional information, contact Terri Davis at (904) 282-0644.
