GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Alice Johnson Williams said in spite of a few bad days, most of her life has been filled with good days. Last Sunday was her 36,525th day, so that’s a lot of good days. “Today, I’m feeling happy. I have my family and friends. Thank God for that,” she said. About 60 people threw “Auntie Alice” a 100th birthday party at Diamond Assisted Living and Memory Care. Included were her fellow parishioners from Mt. Zion AME Church in Green Cove Springs. “I’m strong, spiritually,” she said. “Today is a very happy day for me. Sometimes it’s an uphill journey.”
