Here’s what you need to know before your child(ren) heads back to school:

• The first day for students is Aug. 13

• Parents can download their child(ren)’s bus by downloading the GPS-based App at HereComesTheBus.com/Parents. Click the Sign Up button. You can find your child(ren)’s bus route with the App by entering school code 28465, clicking “Next,” followed by “Confirm.” Complete the “User Profile” box. Click “Add” under the “My Students” and enter your child(ren)’s last name and ID number. Once you confirm the information, your child(ren) is ready to ride the bus.

• Parents need to set up their ParentVUE account to get information on the rights of parents and guardians and other educational information at myoneclay.net/family/resource-guide-for-parent-rights before Aug. 13.

• Visit reg.myoneclay.net to obtain your activation key letter (after you enroll in ParentVUE) if your child(ren) is currently enrolled and the school is not your zoned school. You will need proof of address and School Choice approval.

• Visit reg.myoneclay.net to request an activation key if your child(ren) has ever been enrolled in Clay County so you can email a copy of your government-issued ID to enroll your child(ren) back into school.

• Visit reg.myoneclay.net if your child(ren) is new to Clay County to locate your school zone and link the apple for “Online Registration Account Access.”

• For school supplies, visit ccds.myoneclay.net/back-to-school and check each school for specific lists.

• For orientation and open house dates for each school, visit ccds.myoneclay.net/back-to-school/open-house-and-orientation.

• The Clay County District Schools is hiring full-time school bus drivers at $16.42 an hour with full benefits and flexible hours and part-time substitute bus drivers at $15.92 an hour with morning and/or afternoon shifts. Full-time contracted drivers can earn a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The district will provide paid training, including CDL training, air conditioning, and cameras on all buses.
