The Professional Development Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an IAAO member who has dedicated him or herself to the organization and its members through education, instruction and the Professional Designation Program over a long period of time. The recipient will have spent a significant portion of his or her career in the assessment administration, appraisal or property tax fields and distinguished him or herself as a recognized leader in the area of professional development at the local, national or international level. Recipients must have 25 or more years of IAAO membership and served IAAO for 15 or more years through committee work in the professional development areas, as an instructor, course coordinator, curriculum developer or reviewer, demonstration appraisal grader or professional designation advisor.
The IAAO is headquartered in Kansas City and is a nonprofit, educational association with approximately 8,000 members whose mission is to provide innovation and excellence in property appraisal, property tax policy and administration through professional development, education, research, and technical assistance. IAAO members subscribe to a Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Tracy has been a member of IAAO since 1998 and was elected to serve on the Board of Directors in 2019. He has also served on various IAAO committees, including chair of the Education Committee and the Profession Designation Subcommittee. He holds three designations through the IAAO: the Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE), the Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES) and the Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS).
For his efforts, Tracy was honored with the Professional Designee of the Year Award (2018) and the Member of the Year Award (2016). He is also a Past President of the Florida Chapter of IAAO (FCIAAO) and current chair of the FCIAAO Professional Designation Committee.
