CLAY COUNTY – The annual National Night Out, a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live by enhancing the relationship between a neighborhood and law enforcement, will be on Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is asking neighborhood associations if they’d like to be a host for one of many events around the county. To apply, visit claysheriff.com/departments/national-night-out/. The deadline to register is Sept. 27.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while creating a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides an excellent opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under favorable circumstances.

Millions of neighbors participate in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and other community events, including safety demonstrations, emergency personnel visits and more.
