ORANGE PARK – According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old man was arrested on May 13 for impregnating a 13-year-old girl.
Kelvin Lanard McCray, of Orange Park, was charged with sexual battery of a child between the ages of 12-18 and impregnating a girl younger than 16 after DNA swabs from a baby delivered on Feb. 4 matched swabs taken from McCray.
Tests showed the odds of McCray being the biological parent was 3.7 billion times more likely than another person.
Judge Raymond Forbess denied bond on the sexual assault on the on the child charge. McCray’s next court appearance will be on June 17.
