"What is being built at C.R. 220 and Henley Road? Another 7 Eleven with a Dunkin donut shop? Geez....someone should rattle Krispy Kreme's door or how about a Maggiano's Italian restaurant or Cooper's Hawk restaurant!"
MIDDLEBURG — I like the way you think, but unfortunately none of those top-notch eateries are coming to 3138 County Road 220. In fact, it won't be a place for eating at all, rather refueling in a different way.
At the corner of C.R. 220 and Henley Road will soon be ... you guessed it ... a Circle K. According to building permits, the 5,200-square-foot-convenience store will be moving in directly across the street from the current Circle K at 3137 C.R. 220. Estimated at $2.3 million, it will include a 4,600 square-foot fuel canopy, seven fuel pumps and 22 parking spots.
The project was first proposed to the Clay County Development Review Committee back in 2023.
