• The school board votes 4-1 to move the date of impact fee collection from the date the building permit is requested to the day the electricity is turned on.

• Haven Hospice opens in Orange Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
• The Orange Park Town Council is faced with finding ways to fill a big gap in its budget after it rejected the red-light camera contract that could have generated $200,000 annually.
• The State Attorney’s Office declared fatal shooting of a man by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office during a drug raid justified, CCSO Det. David White was fatally shot during the raid.
