 MIDDLEBURG – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who was drinking at the bar with a sawed-off shotgun at to his waist at the TNT Lounge and Liquor on Wednesday, April 2.

Brandon Michael Edwards, 32, of Lawtey, was charged with violating concealed weapons law and possessing a short-barreled shotgun after a disturbance at the lounge at 1 a.m. A deputy noticed a wooden handle of a firearm protruding from his waistband.

According to the arrest report, before Edwards was taken to the Clay County Jail, he paid his $397 tab and left a $200 tip.

Edwards was released from jail after posting a $20,005 bond.
