ORANGE PARK – Jessica Benavidez was one of eight students at Fortis College to earn a $1,000 scholarship from the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges Foundation.
The student from Orange Park will be able to use the money toward academic credits as she completes her degree.
“We are extremely proud of the students recognized by FAPSC,” said Fortis College Regional Vice President Jim Herbst, who oversees the Florida campuses. “We are privileged to work with dedicated and passionate students as they work toward their career goals in the healthcare community.”
FAPSC serves as an advocate for degree-granting and non-degree-granting career schools and colleges within Florida. Its foundation was established for the sole purpose of providing tuition assistance to qualifying individuals interested in pursuing education/careers through FAPSC member schools. It presents scholarships three times per year, in the winter, spring and fall.
