A Green Cove Springs man has been arrested in connection with a sexual-abuse allegation stemming back to July 2024.

On July 1, 2024, the Green Cove Springs Police Department received information about an alleged sexual abuse. The allegation involved a juvenile under the age of 16 that occurred over several years. The alleged suspect was 23 at the time the abuse began.

On July 3, 2024, the victim met with detectives from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and it was determined the allegations took place within the City of Green Cove Springs. The victim identified the suspect as Anthony Joseph Marroletti, Jr, a resident of the city.

The case was transferred to GCSPD Detective Milliken, who, after a thorough investigation, arrested Marroletti on March 19.

Milliken, with agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Jacksonville ICAC Division, interviewed Marroletti, during which time he confessed to engaging in sexual activity with the juvenile.

Marroletti was booked into the Clay County Jail where he faces charges of: Lewd and Lascivious Battery Florida Statute 800.04(4)(A)(1); and Lewd and Lascivious Molestation Florida Statute 800.04(5)(A).

He is being held on a $300,006.00 bond.
