Zaxbys is not leaving the island anytime soon. It's just "leveling up."
The restaurant, located at 1525 County Road 220, is getting a new and improved makeover, according to the franchise. They announced their official purchase of the vacant building next door, formerly Whataburger.
The building will be remodeled into what the restaurant called "a bigger, better and brand-new Zaxbys."
They said patrons can look forward to a larger space and bigger parking lot, but the same flavor that they have known and loved for more than 20 years.
