ORANGE PARK — As of now, the Blanding Boulevard Hagan Ace Hardware location is on the road to recovery, according to the store's most recent update.
Following a devasting fire that swept through the entire store in May of last year, Hagan Ace took to Facebook on Jan. 21 to let its followers know that building plans were in the works and scheduled to be completed by the end of that month.
Moving forward, they said, it would allow them to gather bids for rebuilding. The store at 1022 Blanding Blvd. was the headquarters for Hagan's group of 11 stores. In addition to the inside, fire ravaged the outside storage. It took 16 hours to extinguish.
The store added that they don't have a timeline for when construction will begin, however, once a contractor is selected, they will have a better understanding of the next steps.
