ORANGE PARK – A woman tried to elude deputies in a neighborhood after the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said video cameras at a convenience store showed her leaving a car that was carjacked.

Brionn Katrice Whitlock, 33, of Jacksonville, was charged with armed carjacking on Oct. 25. after deputies said a car was stolen at knifepoint from two women in a strip shopping center on Blanding Blvd. The car was found at a convenience store seven blocks away, and surveillance recorded Whitlock leaving the car and trying to evade deputies.

Whitlock was tracked through a neighborhood, where deputies found her in a backyard wearing only her underwear.

Whitlock is being held in the Clay County Jail without bond.
