GREEN COVE SPRINGS – A convicted car theft was back in jail after she was caught returning another car reported stolen two hours earlier.
Christen Renee Modlin, 35, was charged with grand theft auto, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of ammo by a convicted felon after the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was called about a missing Chevrolet Silverado. While deputies were getting information, Modlin and another man pulled into the driveway in the truck.
A search revealed she was found guilty of stealing a car 14 months earlier.
During a truck search, deputies found a glass pipe and shotgun shells.
Her bond was set at $30,007.
