GREEN COVE SPRINGS – There’s never a bad time to have a good time, but Sunday seemed better than most to experience thrills and chills at the Clay County Agricultural Fair. In fact, it was the best Sunday in Fair history with a record crowd of 23,715 passing through the turnstiles. The Midway was busy and loud with screams and laughter as fair-goers enjoyed various rides and games from Deggeller Attractions and another sun-splashed day. Monday is Our Fair Cares Day, where guests are invited to bring canned and non-perishable goods, school and pet supplies to support the Clothes Closet and Food Pantry in Orange Park, the Clay County Education Foundation and the Clay County Animal Services. The gates open at 2 p.m.
