OAKLEAF – Saint Leo University’s Jacksonville Education Center is hosting Polar Express Family Night Out, a fundraiser for Shades of Autism Parent Network Inc., from 6 -9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16. The train departs from the Jacksonville Education Center across from The Home Depot at Oakleaf Town Center, 9775 Crosshill Blvd. in Oakleaf.

Two special cars are available:

● The Hot Chocolate Car children’s party. Dress your child (ages 4 -12) in their favorite holiday pajamas as they watch “The Polar Express” movie, enjoy making popcorn balls, and other activities. A meal is included.

● The Dancing/Dining Car for parents only. Parents are invited to dress in their holiday best for a night of fund including trivia, games, music, dancing, and a photo booth. There will be a silent auction and raffle tickets will be sold. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be served.

Ticket prices are $15 for a parent and $10 for a child. Ticket bundles also are available: $20 for a family of two (one child and one parent); $35 for a family of three (any combination); and $50 for a family of four (two children and two parents). Shades of Autism Parent Network Inc. is a Florida nonprofit organization that provides peer support to diverse communities with children with autism spectrum disorders. It is a family support services agency that delivers in-person and virtual care, consulting services, childcare services, and fun events to help families thrive.

Saint Leo University opened the Oakleaf Town Center location in 2017, now offers associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. Degrees include bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration management, criminal justice, elementary and middle school education, early childhood development, human services, psychology, and health care management. In addition, the center offers several Master of Business Administration specializations.
