GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The gateway into the city is about to look a lot different.

Pragmatic Works, a Clay County, Internet Technology-based training company will begin construction on a three-story building that will bring high-paying jobs and opportunities to Green Cove Springs.

“My brother, Devin, and I have grown up in Clay County,” said Brian Knight, founder of Pragmatic Works. “We are excited to become a part of the vibrant community that exists in Green Cove Springs. There are a lot of family businesses that are here, and we are excited to be another family business that can work with them.”

The new building will be 15,000 square feet with commercial rental space on the first floor and Pragmatic Works occupying the upper two floors. The building will be located at 1201 N. Orange Ave. Architectural consideration has been made to help blend the new construction into the downtown commercial corridor. The property is located just to the south of the Governor’s Creek Bridge.

“We’re looking forward to our new location,” said Devin Knight, president of Pragmatic Works. “This new location will give us the opportunity not just to move, but to grow. And we feel like what will benefit us as a company, can benefit us all as a community.”

The official groundbreaking will be on Oct. 4 at 11:30 a.m.
