Orange Park’s Simple Air Filter featured in Better Homes and Garden story

ORANGE PARK – It was just a simple father-son family small business plan based in Orange Park, but in just six short years, it’s spread like wildfire.

Enter Clay County’s Simple Filter Plan, a subscription service for air conditioning filters with home delivery.

After just a few short years of business, the company operated by Jeff and Bryan Jacobs has already reached national success, with orders being filled from as far away as California. Simple Air Filter’s hype reached a fever pitch on April 2, the business appearing in the fourth-best-selling magazine in the United States – Better Homes and Garden’s story by Chauncey Crail: “The Best Air Filter Subscriptions for a Cleaner Home.”

“Better Home and Garden picking us up was a big deal for us,” said Simple Air Filter vice-president Bryan Jacobs.

The service sells three versions of filters and three levels of packages, including the Basic, Premium, and Advanced, all of which are manufactured in the U.S. with the highest quality materials. The average price is $17, with the products delivered every one to three months, backed with 100% satisfaction and a money-back guarantee.

“Simple Filter Plan is a great option for customers who regularly want budget-friendly, no-frills air filters. The company’s cheapest plan is $15 a month, making Simple Air Filter the most affordable air filter subscription

The idea is simple, but some only realize they need the filter until it’s too late. The contract-free service keeps the air of customers’ homes free of harmful pollutants and germs. “Once a person hears about it, they’re kind of enlightened because people often forget to change those. So it’s a very good business we’ve got,” Bryan Jacobs said.

Here’s what makes the service reliable, according to Jacobs.

“We’re timely and don’t question it if someone says they didn’t get a filter. They get another one. If someone says they were billed wrong, we look on there and get it right. If they tell us anything, we don’t hesitate and have ready access. (Customers) have my cell phone number and they can get in touch with me,” he said.

According to Simple Plan Filter’s president, the business model is quite unique.

“I don’t know if we’re the only one in Florida that does that, but the rest of them are around the country. We deliver it to the customer’s home on a timely basis and they know that when they get that filter, it’s time to change it,” Jeff Jacobs said.

The sales boom, media coverage, and nationwide acclaim have also helped the father-son duo cut down on advertising costs because, with a big name, they are just a Google search away for customers across the country.
