ORANGE PARK – In district 1-4A, Oakleaf High junior Sierra Barrera finished 17th overall in a fast 20:08.0 to earn a spot at the region 1-4A race on Sat., Nov. 6 at Santa Fe CC in Gainesville.
In district 2-2A, Keystone Heights boys finished seventh to grab a trip to their region 1-2A championship race while the girls fielded just three runners in their race.
The Indians’ boys team was led by top returner Tyler Griffin who finished 36th in 19:03. Bolles and Bishop Kenny dominated the field with the Bulldogs taking spots one through six with Bishop Kenny getting a seventh place to upend a possible 1-10 finish for Bolles.
Keystone Heights’ boys will be at the New World Sports Complex also on Fri., Nov. 5, for their region race with the boys off at 9:15 a.m.
