NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ROAD CLOSING PETITION

The Board of County Commissioners (the Board) of Clay County, Florida, has received a petition (the Petition) filed pursuant to Sections 336.09 and 336.10, Florida Statutes, on behalf of Reggie Tumlin, to close a portion of a certain public road hereinafter described. In accordance with the Petition, the Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room on the Fourth Floor of the Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida, to consider the adoption of a resolution pursuant to Section 336.10, Florida Statutes, closing, vacating and abandoning said portions of public roads, said portions being more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Melrose Road located in the West ½ of Section 7, Township 9 south, Range 23 East lying easterly of the Easterly right-of-way lane of State Road 21 in the Westerly ½ of Section 6, Township 9 south, Range 23 East and in the West 8 acres of the NW ¼ of the SE ¼ of Section 6, Township 9 South, Range 23 East, Clay County Florida. Said prescriptive right of way lying solely within the parcels having tax parcels numbers 06-09-23-005454-000-00 and 07-09-23-005456-000-00, Clay County, Florida.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and be heard by the Board regarding the adoption of the resolution. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at the hearing or at any subsequent hearing to which the Board has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need a record of all proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
