Green Cove Springs – The sound of a roulette ball rattling against a deflector was the perfect backdrop during Rock the Dock on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Elks Lodge on Orange Avenue. The Green Cove Springs Police Department hosted the event to generate funds for the Chief Derek S. Asdot Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund to sponsor applicants to the Police Academy. “Our Rock the Dock events continue to be a fantastic source of support for our agency, thanks to the unwavering backing of our community. This year was no exception, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our members and partners who made it possible,” GCSPD Chief A.J. Guzman said. In addition to casino games, patrons also participated in raffles, dinner and door prizes.
