CLAY COUNTY – Applications are now open for the 2024 McDonald’s Golden Grants program. To apply, eligible entities, including those from Clay County, can visit McDonald’s Golden Grants through Oct. 13.
McDonald’s owner/operators across Florida, South Carolina and Georgia will select deserving educators, nonprofit organizations, and the like, who represent programs that fuel students’ imagination, education and growth as recipients of a McDonald’s Golden Grant.
Entering its fourth year, the program has awarded $300,000 in its first three years. In 2023, eleven grants were awarded throughout South Georgia and North Florida. Amongst these recipients was Feeding Northeast Florida. The non-profit organization utilized its $10,000 grant for its Weekend Snack Packs Program.
This year, grants will be awarded in the amounts of $10,000, $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 based on creativity and hands-on application of projects. Qualifying activities include arts programs, education initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programs, after-school programs, community service, sports and technology.
