KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies charged a 13-year-old girl with shooting at her father.

According to the arrest report, deputies responded to a reported shooting at a drivable camper on Coe Drive on Jan. 27. The father told deputies he didn’t want to press charges.

On Monday, CCSO returned to the camper to investigate. They noticed a bullethole through a window. They found a detached screen with a hole in it, so they determined the shot came from inside the camper.

Deputies went to Keystone Heights and interviewed the daughter and father. They got consent to search the camper and they recovered a Ruger SR45.

The girl was charged with attempted second-degree murder. Clay Today didn’t reveal her identity since she’s a minor.
