JACKSONVILLE - In about as dramatic a game ever played in TIAA Bank Field, the Jacksonville Jaguars survived a final 67 yard field goal attempt by the greatest kicker in National Football League history to steal a 28-27 win against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday afternoon.
For second year quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who threw three touchdown passes with 11 passes just to Zay Jones, including a key 29 yarder on that preempted a Lawrence to Marvin Jones touchdown that got the Jaguars to 27-26 with just 14 seconds left in the game.
From there, Zay Jones latched on to a two-point conversion pass from Lawrence to win the game, apparently.
For Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (2019 NFL Most Valuable Player), the game was not quite finished still with those 14 seconds still on the clock as the crafty veteran connected on a 12 yard pass to the Jacksonville 49 where kicker Justin Tucker attempted and missed by just a foot a 67 yard attempt. Tucker had hit a 55 yarder in the first half and had a 66 yarder during the season.
Jackson, in a scoring drive just after the Jaguars took the lead in the game, hit a 62 yard pass play to Deandre Hopkins to set up his own touchdown run to give the lead back to the Ravens.
Lawrence, with 2:02 left in the game, clicked on passes of 16, 10, 17 and 29 to swiftly move Jacksonville into the Ravens red zone before hitting Marvin Jones for the pivotal 10 yard sc; ;/ore with just 18 seconds on the clock.
