OAKLEAF — The Homeschoolers of Oakleaf hosted its annual Trunk-or-Treat event at the Oakleaf Community Park on Friday, Oct. 30. Dozens of children, dressed in creative costumes, enjoyed candy, treats, scavenger hunts and games during the afternoon festivities.
The local group was founded as a parent-run and child-focused community for homeschool families in the Oakleaf and surrounding areas. To enrich each child's homeschool journey, they offer various clubs, like choir, drama, art, photography and journalism, as well as leadership opportunities, social connections, activities and sports.
Students from the group's drama and choir clubs put on various productions during the event, including a reading of "Mother Goose," and singing a grand finale of "Party in the U.S.A."
