GREEN COVE SPRINGS — Congratulations are extended to Clay High graduate Mikayla Wyrick, who was selected from 30 applicants for a two-year, $3,000 scholarship from Elks Lodge 1892. The Scholarship Award was presented by Larry Williams, Elk Leading Knight, during the Clay High Awards Celebration.
Mikayla plans to study dental hygiene. In addition to Mikayla’s community service efforts, her extracurricular activities have included being the Commanding Officer of the JROTC Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, President of HOSA Future Health Professionals, obtaining EKG Certification and enhancing her Karate skills.
It was heartwarming to read about our youth’s passion for this country and furthering their path in life. The applicants were impressive high achievers, and the Lodge said it was easy to unanimously select Mikayla as the Scholarship Award recipient.
