Easter: A Time of Faith

Posted

In a world filled with uncertainty and challenges, it's our faith can anchor us and give us hope. Regardless of any storms we may face, the Easter season is indeed a time of faith, a time to lean into the promises of God and trust in His unfailing love.

Faith isn't just a belief in something unseen; it's a steadfast confidence in the character of God. It's knowing that even when we can't see the way forward, God is leading us with purpose and intention. Hebrews 11:1 beautifully captures this essence of faith, stating, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

In times of trial, our faith becomes a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkness. It reminds us that we are not alone, that God is with us every step of the way. Psalm 46:1-3 declares, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." These words serve as a reminder that God is our constant source of strength and protection.

Faith isn't just about believing for our own sake; it's about trusting in God's plan for the world. It's about becoming a vehicle to deliver His love and an instrument of His peace. In times of crisis, our faith calls us to reach out to those in need, to offer compassion and support, and to be a messenger of hope in a hopeless world.

So, this Easter season, let’s embrace faith with open hearts and unwavering trust. Let us hold fast to the promises of God, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill them. Let’s shine brightly with the light of Jesus, the light of the world (John 8:12). His light, shining through us, illuminates the darkness and points others towards the true source of hope and salvation.
