CLAY COUNTY – Supervisor of Elections Chris H. Chambless reminds Clay County residents that Tuesday, Feb. 20, is the deadline to register to vote in the March 19 Presidential Preference Primary Election.
This is also the deadline to change your political party affiliation. Florida is a Closed Primary state, and voters are limited to choosing candidates from their party. Only the Republican Party will participate in the Presidential Preference Primary since the Democratic Party already selected its candidate.
Registering to vote, change your party, or update your signature at RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov is easier than ever. Registration forms are available to download at ClayElections.gov or pick one up at the Elections Office, 500 N. Orange Ave. in Green Cove Springs. They’re also available at all public libraries, most government agencies, post offices and public assistance offices.
All voters are encouraged to review and update their information before Election Day. If you have questions, or need more information, call (904) 269-6350 or visit ClayElections.gov for verified election information.
