You are not here by accident. God created you on purpose, and for a purpose. Before you were even conceived, God envisioned you and put you together piece by piece in your mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb”. He knew who you would become and equipped you with everything you need to fulfill the specific purpose He prepared for you to accomplish.

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” This verse teaches clearly that God planned our purpose in advance. When He created you and me, He knew exactly what He was doing, both short and long-term. Every bit of God’s creative process was intentional when He pieced you together.

Being created by God for a purpose means that we are set apart. Coming to faith in Christ makes us different than those around us in the world. 1 Peter 2:9 says, “You are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests. a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

This verse shows us one of the most incredible aspects of being set apart by God: the chance to impact others by sharing God’s love! We are representatives of Christ and reflect His love and grace to the world around us. We are God’s priests, His chosen people, called to shine His light into the dark world around us. What a blessing it is to be created on purpose and for a purpose!

Never make the mistake of believing that your life is an accident or void of purpose. You were intentionally brought into this world by God, and you have a mission only you can fulfill. Dive into the spiritual journey of Bible study and prayer. There you will find God (Jeremiah 29:13) and He will reveal that perfect plan to you through your personal relationship with Him.
