PENNEY FARMS – It’s impressive to reach 100 years of age, or older, and even more impressive still to be a regular, active voter in the community.
It’s certainly deserving of a special recognition.
In appreciation of their tremendous dedication to democracy, the Clay County Supervisor of Elections Office is holding a recognition ceremony for its centenarian voters on Tuesday, April 4, at 1 p.m. at Penney Retirement Community’s Regal Center at 4195 Wilbanks Ave.
Those voters have witnessed great milestones in this Country’s history, including landmark elections. Their lives have played a meaningful role in America’s story and their unwavering commitment to voting should be a reminder to everyone how important it is to make their voice heard.
