MIDDLEBURG—The Clay County Utility Authority will host a Customer Service Extended Hours event on Saturday, June 29, from 8 a.m. to noon. CCUA is opening its doors over the weekend to help its customers sign up for our new portal. Customers will need access to an email account to set up an activation link, and banking information will be needed for those signing up for autopay.
The staff will focus on new account sign-ups and will not be available for phone calls or payments.
“As CCUA is transitioning to a new customer portal, we know it can be a challenge to call or visit Customer Service during the weekday when families are juggling work and school,” said CCUA’s Executive Director, Jeremy Johnston. “This in-person process will make sign-ups more efficient and convenient for our customers that are still not registered in the new system, so we ensure we are serving our customer’s needs.”
CCUA launched a new customer platform with upgraded security so that customers can pay their utility bills online. The rollout of the new customer portal was announced on April 23. Instructions on setting up new accounts can be found by visiting clayutility.org. Customers currently enrolled in autopay will have their auto-payment settings seamlessly transferred to the new platform. However, if autopay customers want access to the new platform features, they must create a new account.
Please remember that there is now a $1.50 charge from the payment vendor to process e-checks. To avoid the $1.50 charge, we encourage customers to sign up for the AutoPay option. Customers may also consider setting up online bill pay options with their specific personal bank or credit union. Using your bank’s bill pay option will avoid the $1.50 charge from our payment processor. Please check with your specific bank or credit union for details.
