GREEN COVE SPRINGS – For the first time in this program’s two-year history, part of the annual exhibit rotation now includes artwork from winners of various categories from the Clay County Agricultural Fair’s Home Arts and Photography Competition. Visitors will enjoy a gallery filled with various colorful artwork from both adult and youth-level artists now through June 16. The program is a partnership involving the Clerk/Comptroller’s Office, Clay County judiciary and county officials, local art groups, civic organizations, the school system and more. While done at other courthouses around our state and country, this program is a first for our courthouse, i.e., a permanent space for continuous community art display. Displays rotate through the gallery every one-to-three months and expansion of display space is underway. The Art in the Courthouse Gallery is accessible any time the courthouse is open to the public, typically Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
