CLAY COUNTY – Clay Connect, a free, new mobile application and online service request platform where residents can request services and access information from a desktop or mobile device.
The free app and service request platform is now available for both Android and Apple users, and it can be accessed on the app store for users of both brands of cellular and tablet devices. The platform is also available via the county government’s online home at ClayCounty.gov.
By using the new service, users can report a problem, request services and get more information on a myriad of county services, departments and opportunities from either their desktop, tablet or mobile device.
County Communications Director Laura Christmas said, “Our goal behind this is to give our residents one more way to report issues and get information. We're proud to launch this app so they can do it right at their fingertips.”
Clay County residents can now report several items of concern to the county government through the application.
This can range far and wide, whether that be a newly-discovered pothole, spotted stray animal, missed curbside collection, or other reported problem or requested service.
With the establishment of the new, user-friendly, high-tech service, locals can now get the answers to their burning questions with either the simple click of a button or with the strike of a few letters on the keypad.
The goal of the platform is to raise the bar for customer service in Clay County while giving residents an avenue to stay connected to their local government from their fingertips.
“You always hear see something, say something,” Christmas said. “This app gives our residents an easy way to do that if they encounter an issue in one of our parks, on our roads, or anything else we can help fix. All they have to do is take a quick photo, start a new request on the app, upload it, and we'll take it from there.:
Requests are monitored during regular business hours. The county said if a resident is undergoing or seeking to address an emergency, they could call 911.
Regardless, Clay County encourages residents to utilize the useful and streamlined service powered by GoGov, a software solutions company connecting citizens and governments.
