MIDDLEBURG – The line often stretched behind the Walmart on Branan Field Road. Still, more than 1,000 came away with bags filled with candy and an opportunity to interact with the Clay County Sheriff’s Department and Fire Rescue. Trick-or-treaters and their parents could explore squad cars, the paddy wagon, mobile crime scene lab, patrol motorcycles and fire engines. The event also allowed children – and some parents – to show off their best Halloween costumes.
